Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Getting a tattoo can be uncomfortable, but pain levels vary depending on your pain tolerance and the location of the tattoo. Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, but our artists will do their best to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
2. How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo. If you're under 18, we cannot tattoo you, even with parental consent.
3. How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
Make sure to get a good night’s sleep, eat a solid meal before your appointment, and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol and any blood-thinning medications, as they can make the tattooing process more difficult.
4. How long does a tattoo take?
The time it takes to complete a tattoo depends on its size, detail, and placement on your body. A small tattoo might take as little as 30 minutes, while larger pieces could take several hours or multiple sessions.
5. How much does a tattoo cost?
Tattoo prices vary depending on the size, design, and complexity of the tattoo. We charge either by the hour or a flat rate, and we’ll provide you with a quote before we begin.
6. How do I take care of my tattoo?
After getting a tattoo, it’s important to follow our aftercare instructions. This usually includes cleaning the tattoo with mild soap, applying an ointment, and avoiding sun exposure, swimming, or scratching the area while it heals.
7. Can I bring a friend with me?
You’re welcome to bring a friend for support, but due to the nature of the work, we ask that they remain in the waiting area. We want to make sure you get the full focus of our artists during your appointment.
8. Can I change my tattoo design once it’s started?
We always make sure you’re happy with your design before we begin the tattoo. Once the tattoo starts, it’s difficult to make big changes, but we’ll work with you to make adjustments to ensure you're satisfied.
9. Do you offer consultations?
Yes! If you’re unsure about your design or placement, we offer consultations where we’ll discuss your ideas and help you create the perfect tattoo.
10. What should I do if I need to reschedule my appointment?
If you need to reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. We understand things come up, but a 24-hour notice is appreciated so we can accommodate other clients.
